Iconic Australian Rail Journeys

The Ghan and The Indian Pacific rail journeys are famous worldwide and they have recently been joined by the Great Southern. If you can’t do the Orient Express or the Blue Train then these are rail journeys that offer a unique insight into the wonders Australia has to offer. This is ‘slow travel’ at its best.

All three rail journeys offer the same all-inclusive luxury experience irrespective of what route you take. Over 2-to-4 days, you can expect comfortable cabins with ensuite facilities, multi-course 5-star cuisine with award-winning Australian wines, and impeccable service. En route, you will enjoy off-train experiences where you will discover off-the-beaten-track destinations like Cooper Pedy as well as icons like Alice Springs and Adelaide. Overnight you will be lulled to sleep in beautifully appointed cabins which are converted from a day cabin to a bedroom by your attentive cabin attendant.

Lead-in prices are in Gold Class which offers a fully inclusive experience and twin bunk bed cabins with ensuite facilities. For the ultimate in rail travel book, Platinum Service offers a large cabin that converts to a double bed and a separate lounge and dining room reserved exclusively for Platinum guests.

Rail Journeys

The Indian Pacific offers a 4-day / 3-night journey between Sydney and Perth or vice versa stopping at Adelaide along the way and offering off-train experiences like dinner under the stars in Rawlinna as you cross the Nullarbor.
